It may be preparing for surprise announcements. Sony may be adding new services like video-on-demand and Freeview TV features to spice up PS3 and PSP.

Considering that PS3  sold 41,005 consoles, while Xbox 360 sold 35,084 units for the week ending July 14, according to analysts at Video Game Chartz, the PS3 loyals would welcome any new announcements to make the console more popular and useful.
